So, cat's out of the bag! Our big announcement is the addition of photos and vectors to our stock library.
I know you guys probably have a lot of questions, so go ahead and ask!
So, the big one on everyone's minds is how to submit your own photos to our collection.
At the moment, we are simply launching the photo system with pre-curated content, and will not be accepting individual submissions for a few months, while we work out the kinks with the new interface. We want to make sure that we have the resources in place to handle submissions.
If you have a large (5k+) collection of stock images or vectors, send us an email at
contact@pond5.com, with "curated collection" in the subject line. At this point we're gathering resources for partnering with larger producers, and will be moving on those over the next month or two.
We will be launching general submissions shortly thereafter, so if you have a smaller collection, go ahead and put your metadata together, so you'll be good to go when we announce it. We will be working under the same model we do for the rest of our media submissions - you'll set your own price, and make 50% every time it sells.
Please let us know any other questions or concerns you guys have. We've got most of the Pond5 team here - me, Javier, Dana, and Tom - at the booth at SXSW, so we'll do our best to get your questions answered and get any issues addressed asap.
