I can understand that many of you are voicing real concern and frustration over the lack of information about what is going on with us over here in Oslo. Yes, it is true that we have not been at full capacity during the past months, resulting in delayed payments, fewer clips published than usual, less frequent communication and more standard responses. I have been very frustrated and concerned myself.
My main job is to make sure that such issues are solved, and part of that job involves securing additional funding. Growth has become more expensive in the last year, and the cost of acquisition for each additional and new buyer is higher than ever. As you can understand from one of my latest emails, from earlier this year, this is not an acute situation, but has rather been an ongoing fight we've been working to solve for some time.
Firstly, I want to apologise for the pending silence and lack of voice from us regarding this. I hope you will accept this apology, and still want to work with us. We have been close to solving our predicament on a number of times, and each time, the process seems to have been delayed or we had to start over. Also, we have been following your feedback on support and in forums with some growing concern, especially regarding some recent cases involving other agencies, and I wanted to also assure you that your work is well protected and will never be rented, shared or distributed to any third parties without your approval at ANY time, ever. We may have some shortcomings and challenges that require better attention from our side, but we do run a clean and honest operation and put this higher than anything else.
At the moment I am very relieved and happy to let you know that we have finally managed to secure additional funding and will catch up with payments and refocus our efforts to approve more of your work and continue our development in the following weeks. For any of you with experience from funding processes such as these, you will know it is not always straightforward, and different interests potentially collide. That said, I am sorry that we have not been able to secure this sooner, and I hope we have not caused you too much harm in the process.
As with everything else, any news and statement or position such as contained in this email, is received differently, depending on your sentiment and perspective on life. I understand that we may have broken your trust by not sharing with you any news about what was going on, and some of you may never forgive us for this. We will have to live with that. Still, I want you to know that we are in fact working hard and doing our best, and that we are still focused to strive for our mutual success.

If you have serious objections to the work we do, please also let me know so we can try and work out our differences. It is very hard to make everybody happy, but I will do my best.
